The update cycle of new products has been shortened, costs have been forced to decrease, and traditional processes cannot meet the delivery requirements. The quality and quantity of the products rely on labor, and the labor cost is getting higher and higher. Electrical discharge machining requires the processing of electrodes, which has high process costs, low efficiency, poor quality and can be replaced by five-axis machining. The maturity of three-axis machining technology has led to fierce homogeneous competition. In the homogenized competition, only unique core technologies or doing work that others cannot do can stand out. All these have given rise to the emergence of five-axis machining.

Five-axis characteristics

A five-axis machining center is based on a three-axis system and adds two of the rotating axes, A, B, and C. Its distinctive feature lies in the interlocking relationship between the two added rotating axes and the linear axis as well as its structure. The five-axis linkage makes the processing efficiency faster. The tiltable C-axis structure has larger bearings and better rigidity.
